CargoTransit Insurance Underwriting Managers (CTI) was established in October 2010 and specialises in marine cargo and transit insurance cover. The team has a wealth of experience and knowledge specifically to the marine insurance market.

CargoTransit Insurance is mandated as an Underwriting Management Agency by their risk carrier to rate risks and settle claims. CTI’s policy wordings are based on the Institute Cargo Clauses and offer advice on risk management, packing, security (high risk cargo), exhibition risk, distribution and storage. We have the ability to tailor make cover for clients to address their specific marine cover needs. CTI underwrites on behalf of Compass Insurance Company Limited and CTI has access to reinsurance capacity through Hannover Re. CTI is part of the Lireas Holdings Group of Companies, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hannover Reinsurance Group Africa Limited.
